Springfield Armory has finally brought fully ambidextrous pistols to the market. The new XD-M Elite finally adds an ambidextrous slide stop to their already ambidextrous mag release. We now have full ambidextrous controls for all of you left handed shooters.
The new XD-M Elite also incorporates their new META (Match Enhance Trigger Assembly) System, extended and flared maxwells, and improved cocking serrations.
Four new models in 9mm are now available in the new line:
- XD-M Elite 3.8″ Model, MSRP $559
- XD-M Elite 4.5″ Model, MSRP $559
- XD-M Elite 4.5″ Tactical OSP Model, MSRP $709
- XD-M Elite 5.25″ Precision Model, MSRP $653
The 3.8″ and 4.5″ Elite models have fiber optic front sights and 20+1 9mm round capacities. The Tactical and Precision models have 22+1 capacities.
With the Tactical OSP model, you get the additional bonus of a slide ready for a Micro Red Dot Sight that will co-witness with the suppressor height sights. All on top of a 5.28″ threaded barrel. Sadly, the sights are plain old dot sights, and are not night sites with tritium. All this wrapped in Desert FDE color scheme.
The Elite 5.25″ Precision gives you the longer 5.25″ barrel with a fiber optic front sight, and an adjustable rear sight.
I’ve been very please with my first XD-M in 45 ACP, and hope the offer this in the .45 caliber. Other wise, I am excited for their fully ambidextrous new line of striker fire pistols.
