Add this to things that I thought I would never see. But what a surprise to hear that the Ruger Custom Shop will now be producing a Left Handed 10/22.
The 10/22 Competition Rifle Left Handed model is quite a treat. Aside from the left handed action, this is not your off the shelf 10/22. The action has an integral 30 MOA Picatinny rail for those with longer range needs. The action also is drilled at the back to make cleaning the rifle easier, and better for proper breach to muzzle cleaning. They include a CNC machined match bolt, with a match bolt release for quick racking action. The 16.12″ bull barrel is cold hammer-forged, fluted, threaded, and includes a muzzle brake. But of course, you will want to remove that brake install a suppressor (if your state allows it).
They’re including the BX-25 trigger system, and a nice extended mag release. Speaking of mags, you’re collection of 10/22 mag will NOT work. I guess that’s the price to pay for a left handed 10/22, so you will have to get new left handed rotary magazines to feed this rifle.
They also have reversed the cross-bolt safety, and put put the button on the opposite side.
The stock has dual bedding system for increased accuracy, and adjustable cheek riser, and it also looks like it is free floated. No barrel band.
All of this, a hard case, Certificate of Authenticity, challenge coin, cleaning cloth and a decal can be had for $899 MSRP. That’s quite the premium for a left handed target rifle.
